I ate human flesh

I just want to say I didn?t mean to do it on purpose. It just happened and its a long story and I decided to write it down for you.
I was walking back from work and decided to walk a shortcut way; I never walked down this way before. It was a dark alley that smelled horrible! As if there was 50 dumpsters around me. Surprisingly there weren?t any dumpsters when i looked around. All I could see was darkness and dented brick walls.
As I walked down the mysterious alley, I started to regret going the shortcut home. I always walked a safer way home. It wasn?t even much longer a walk than the shortcut. My colleague at work told me about this shortcut since he lived in the same neighborhood and I decided to go that way and see how it was.
crunch I heard as I walked. I didn?t think much of it as I thought the crunch came from my steps. It took me a couple steps to realize that wasn?t the crunch of my shoes. I froze. Scared to walk another step. What was that noise then? I looked behind me. I saw nothing. I figured it was probably just a cat or another harmless animal that stepped on a branch. I carried on walking. I was really hungry so I was trying to get home as fast as I could to eat.
crunch I heard again. This time the noise sounded louder. I heard whispering. This time I knew it wasn?t an animal. I decided to run knowing this wasn?t a safe place to be. Why would my colleague tell me to go down this way? He probably went at day time since his shift ends around 4 pm so he had it safer than me. My shift ends at 8 and by the time I get out the office, its dark.
I kept running not knowing where the exit was. I just didn?t want to be kidnapped. I?m not a very fit guy so people could easily kidnap me and I wouldn?t really be able to save myself. I heard steps behind me. Uh oh. I didn?t know what to do. My fear got a hold of me and i froze; I tried to force myself to run but for some reason couldn?t.
?Hello! Who?s there?? I shouted. I heard whispering. I Couldn?t make out what was being whispered. I immediately realized there was at least more than 2 people whispering. I Couldn?t make out what was being whispered. I could hear some words though.
?Where is...get it... yes I?m sure?
But before I could try and understand any other words, I got knocked out.
I was unconscious for a while so I can?t tell you what happened in that time. But when I opened my eyes, I was around a fire place and there was 3 people around me all black masks. I was lying on the floor and had horrible pain on my head. It took me a while to realize what was going on but as soon as I did I got up and tried running. I heard a gun shot and froze. Luckily the gunshot wasn?t aimed at me but to the sky. I realized they had guns.
?Come here or we will shoot you!? I heard. It was a mans voice. I didn?t know what to do but I didn?t want to die. So I went back to the circle of people shivering in fear. ?Sit down.? Someone said. The voice sounded different to the last one. I sat. ?I have one simple instruction for you to do unless you want to die.? One simple instruction? I immediately thought he wanted money. ?How much money do you want? I can give it to you just don?t kill me!? ?Shut up! I don?t want your stupid money. Just let me speak.? I was confused. What did he want?
?We need you to eat this meat.? He put down a plate with what looked like steak inside. ?This?? ?Yes.? Someone else said. I thought to my self: why would they want me to eat steak? They probably put poison or something in it! Well there was a 80% chance I could die eating this but if I didn?t there was a 100% chance the would kill me.
I didn?t want to eat it. ?EAT IT!? Someone shouted. ?EAT IT OR YOU ARE DEAD!? I decided to just eat it. I was pretty hungry anyways. I shivered and ate it. The whole steak. They forced me to. It tasted discussing but i ate it.
Once I was finished I looked around and there was nobody around me. What were they doing? Where did they go? ?Hello?? I shouted. There was no reply. I decided to stand up and leave. What else should I have done? Slept there? I wasn?t going to sleep there. As I was walking I could finally see the exit. Nobody ran after me or did anything to me as I was walking. It really was one simple instruction.
I reached home a couple minutes later and was greeted by my dog. I had reached home safe but I was still scared. How could it be that simple? There had to be a twist to all that. They couldn?t have just wanted me to eat some meat. I decided to stop thinking about it and went to bed.
The next morning I woke up and looked around my house to see nothing happened. Everything was still in its place. I was alive in my house with my dog. I turned on the tv and watched the news.
?There have recently been a gang of people in masks going around and forcing people to eat human flesh. The gang members have been revealed yesterday as a police officer arrested them.?
They showed the faces on the news and one looked familiar. I realized it was the colleague that told me about the shortcut...
