I (22F) feel like I won't ever get to travel because of my relationship with (31M) my boyfriend?

Hi all, this is a throwaway. Kinda need some advice.
I have been with my boyfriend for just a little over 3 years. We met whilst working at the same job, but eventually that company closed down. Anyway I moved out of my mum's house three months ago, and my boyfriend moved with me. I am working full time and have finished my first year of uni but have taken a gap year because I feel like I am taking on too much. I cook all the time for him (he was verbally abusive the other day when I didn't wake up to make him tea) and he generally speaking gets snappy with me which upsets me. We never make up unless I beg and cry and apologise.
I am paying for everything. Rent, water, heating, food, gym. He hasn't contributed in at least a year, and not consistently at all. I have had to start using my savings, which also means using my travel money. It has been my number one dream to cage dive with sharks and I am in a position to do it this year but I keep my relationship up, I will most definitely run out of savings.
We've been through a lot together and I know I will be heart broken if we broke up. This has been my longest relationship so I have no idea how to deal with it, and I need advice. I know it's not the greatest relationship but he can be so sweet. BUT if we do happen to break up, I need advice on how to handle it. Really desperate for advice etc.
TL;DR I am using all my savings in my relationship, but I love my boyfriend. What do i Do?
EDIT: WOW. This blew up. Guys.. I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to comment. It was actually pretty emotional reading through them all. I’m now planning a trip to swim with sharks for my 23rd birthday, and I am seeing my mum at the weekend to deal with current situation (safety reasons). Thank you all so much. This is hard but I can do it.
