They are starting to drug test for state an goverment benefits. How many of u think that mothers/fathers should be drug tested for child support?

For those who recieve it i've known a few people who used it to support there drug habbit and the child went without i stoped searving them a child shouldn't suffer because of a ignorant parent

I think it's great to start drug testing to get government benefits. Our tax money doesn't need to go toward drugs.

I had a friend that was addicted to methodone, every penny she recieved went on drugs, child support, family's first (government funds) and food stamps, she would sell her stamps for 50 cents on a dollar. Her poor babies never got anything!!! It was so sad. I couldnt stand watching her blow that money when her baby needed diapers. I wanted to report her and talk to the father, but what do u do

I think mandatory drug testing for government aid is a very good idea. They should do random testing as well for as long as you are one the programs. I know the child support i pay was used at one time for drugs and i know to this day i support my exes smoking habbit. I know not everyone uses these programs in a wrong way. But testing just to get the benefits won't solve the issue. Anybody can stay clean long enough to pass the initial test. They would have to implement a random testing policy is well to keep up with the issue.

I think its a good idea. Ive seen many waste it on drugs. It makes me sick to see the parent screwed up and the childrens needs and wants are not being met.

I think its an awesome idea. I think they should also look into how it's spent. For example how many of us that have seen people on welfare and food stamps driving brand new cars and trucks?

I agrees wit yall an ricp they should have to show where an why they spent it its not fair what I pay for one most pay for two kids, now if u pay the child support u sudnt have to get tested ur not the one recievin the benefits, not sayin all but a lot of girls just trap guys for money an by god if u gonna trap a guy for money then they should have to show it goes where its need an not wasted on her wants or so she can just sit back an not work, an if u aint got a job then u shouldn't be able to get child support cuz its unfair an wrong to hold just one responabile cuz both made the baby not just one
