What advice would you give to an unattractive women when trying to spark a mans attention?

Not being attractive is a huge obstacle for women because as many people have stated men can be " visual creatures"(not saying superficial). In general How can an unattractive girl catch a guys attention in a more 'dating' or 'sexual' way opposed to friend zone. In particular in social settings where she is ignored because of her pretty friends edit: that came off as blaming more attractive friends, what I meant was just making up for what is lacked in attractiveness

I would say be funny but that usually slips you into the friend zone. Maybe find your niche and try to meet guys that way. Like, if you're into comics go to conventions.
