Ever thought about what's going to happen to your parents when they retire? Anyone have parents with financial troubles? If so, what will you do to help?

My mother is retired and her life has changed traumatically since she worked. She has no energy now, owns way to many pets, doesn't get out like she used to, and i tell her that her brain is turning to mush.
I haven't a clue what my parents would/will do... they have nothing saved up and don't own their own place or anything
