Why do people (by Aphasia)
Be fake, when being a fake a$$ lier is way worse than being the real you on the worst day. . .
Usually it's low self esteem. If a person sees themself as crap, then of course other people will see the same thing. So by using a fake persona..other people will see it and be more accepting. I pity people that feel they have to do that.
But I have no pity for people who are fake to con or run a scam. Those should be shot.

I think they lie to make them selves feel better, they have no expectations of meeting anyone in person so no one will ever know the true person.
