It’s hard to see my own reflection
Through a broken mirror,
When the tears in my eyes are falling.
Sick of feeling so damn tired.
Sick of feeling so damn upset.
Sick of feeling anything towards
You at all. Because I know you’re not
Giving me a second thought.

I hate to hear the words
‘You’re so strong for doing what you are’
Because if I had any strength at all
I’d have walked away sooner…
And if you don’t know the whole
Story, every little twist and turn
That it took to bring me to this point
Don’t even try to assume you know
What is on my mind.

I’ve been down to the bottom,
All because of you
But I have been building up a shelter,
Even if it is built upon,
Broken glass and rocky ground,
So that I can hide my pain away in it.

I’ve come too far to let anyone
Knock me down again.
But don’t think it’s killing me
Inside to walk away like this…
But it’s funny,
Every step away from you
Makes it easier to breathe
Then it has been in years.

when I am upset and pis.sed I do a lot of writing. I am better at writing how I feel and think in poems then just saying it (or writing it) outright.
