I gotta say this. I see so many people on here who proclaim love and hope and relationships have begun within days of texting or talking to someone on here. Then they get hurt when it doesnt work out:( Why the rush? The reason I came on here was because I wanna be sure this time, and that will take more than textin or talking. I dont care if we text and talk for a year-until I lay eyes on him, touch him, and see who he really is by his mannerisms& movement etc., I will keep this bulletproof vest on. I see too many people gettin hurt over something that should not have hurt so bad. For petes sake, put your vests on people!! :):)

I have to agree with you, people can be different from talking on the phone & just texting or even e-mail msgs than they are in person. I knew of a married guy who met a woman online, they wrote talked & texted eachother for a month before they met in person. He divorced his wife & married the online woman, their relationship lasted 6 months & they got divorced then he remarried the ex-wife again. Another guy I know met a woman online they talked for a month then he drove to see her for the weekend, when he got home he called her & her new boyfriend answered the phone but let my friend talk to her & she told him that she had been involved with new guy 3 months before my friend began talking to her. You just never know about people.

Wow i beleive it can happen. But i think someone explained it once it was like being in a candy store so many choices to choose from lol and they start talking then stop. But to me meeting them i will know a connection or not. Making friends is the best way to go at least for awhile. Besides that if you get to know them and they are not who they play to be true colors come out.

@tractorjohn: Wow-ok John now ya got me puttin my helmet and combat boots on too!:)lol I think also for myself, I truly cant get to know a person until I look into their eyes, spend time with them in different settings etc. This occured to me after I started having feelings for a man on here that I was texting. Anyone can tell ya what you want to hear-especially when you talk about what you want on here. That guy was a lesson for me and I took it to heart-So Im protecting it now with a bulletproof vest!:)lol
