Wiccan i understand i have friends that are wiccan. But my small town ended up with a pagan group that came here and two men were hung upside down and were skinned alive. It was so sad nothing like that has ever happen like that here before. We morned for the lose. This was a few years back. Not to mention charles mason was a pagan cult. Yes wiccan are one with nature and mother earth. Also they are healers.

@brats52005: That's terrible!! Unfortunately, it's groups that call themselves pagans that give actual, peaceful pagans a bad name.

I actually agree. Had to look the words up sorry im a small town girl with a high school education. I do beleive in my god. And really i dont care what relegion they are. Maybe pagan is what they thought they were but murders is what they were. I do beleive in giving a fair chance to someone no matter what.

Paganism was originally any religion that wasn't your own. For example the muslims in some parts of the world think christians are pagans. So calling some one a pagan just is a way of saying none believer.

I dont mind the religion as long as they dont try to change me or my kids in any way. The only one I have a hard time with is jahovas (yeah I dont know how to spell it) witnesses because holidays are a big part of our lives and I want to be able to share that with my significant other as well

So, I'm curious. How important a role does religion play in your choice of significant other? For example... If you are catholic, and you really liked someone you were talking to, then you found out they were wiccan/pagan, would that be a deal breaker for you?
Yes it would. You cant come in one accord not believing in the same God.

I respect your opinion, though I don't agree. I think if you really love eachother, any obstacle can be over come. JMO

I would have to say yes religion does play a rather significant role in my choice in a relationship. I never have and will never make strikes on another religion/cult/group with a set of certain beliefs/traditions/codes. If someone I meet falls into a. Religion that I disagree with ill simply say this is not for me. And ill move on.

I thought it doesnt bother me because i have some bestfriends from different religions and we never debate about it.

I was wrong :( I am a Catholic, my ex is Buddhist. We respect each other's religion but there were times that we argued. Our daughter end up being a protestant because neither of us gave in .... I don't know but i think when both are very devoted and committed to religion, somehow in the long run it affects the relationship or we were just both hardheaded at that time :(
