Honor Killing - An Honorable Act or Not ? (by Rainbowbutterfly)

I know this is a bit sensitive issue .

Would you kill a member of your family because she brought shame to the family ?

In today's modern society , do you think it is still an honorable act ?

Your opinion is highly appreciated .

Thanks

How does what someone else does, shame you? Just the thought of that is ludicrous to me. Sounds like selfishness and ignorance run amok....and we're not talking abt family members doing something horrible either...

i really dont like it when i hear about the "honor killings" on the news, killed because they chose or want to choose a different path to their family.

We here in Arizona had a case not long ago where a Muslim father intentionally ran over and killed his daughter with his SUV, because she was dating an American boy (an infidel.) The public here was both shocked and outraged! The father was tried and convicted of murder, and now resides in a prison cell, where he will spend the the rest of his life!

yes. If the shame was great enough. Gotta cowboy up and do what's needed. Plenty of time to lose sleep later.
