Just got messaged again "wow, you look fat!" any of u ladies met these a**holes?

I actually had someone send me that messege a lil bit ago, I reported and dumped him. We are all supposed to be looking to meet people not disrespect them.

Hearing about these kinds of incidents has been bugging me for some time now. One possible solution I've been brainstorming is a kind of "karma" feedback system where anyone who has been contacted by someone else would be allowed to vote that user up or down on his or her profile. If the balance of those votes is severely negative (e.g. below -3), then a message would appear on that user's profile warning everyone that the user is problematic.

This system would serve a dual purpose. On the one hand, it would give power to those on the receiving end of such harassment to do something about it. On the other hand, it would serve as a deterrent to those who like to mouth off and be disrespectful. Also, since only those users one has contacted could up or down vote them, it would minimize any chance of malicious users abusing the system, and since it would only show the warning on user's whose karma balance was severely negative, one bad apple down-voting everyone would have no effect.

What do you guys think?

Hmmm...gotta think bout that. cuz u know andres we women can be mean if we want...wld kinda be afraid to use that system in case several of us got together an ganged up on some poor fellow didnt deserve it...or visa versa

@Andres I like that idea I've been on this site for awhile because most of the guys that messege me think because I'm a big girl I'm easy, they want to be disrespectful to me in some way, or something really strange. I reported a guy a few months ago who asked me to take a pic of my daughters rear end and send it to him. It was really creepy.

Well, that's why you would only be able to vote on people who have actually contacted you. So the only way a group of people would be able to "gang up" on a target is if that target happened to have messaged everyone in the group that wants to gang up on them, which would only really happen if the target managed to harass all of them! :) And the only way to remove that warning on your profile would be to be extra "nice" to users so you get upvoted above a -4, so it would have that added benefit as well.

But yeah, it would have to be carefully designed to minimize any potential abuse or gaming of the system. I just want to implement some kind of automatic system that would clearly label and deter the serial harassers so we can keep Dating.mobi the most friendly and respectful dating site on the mobile web. :)

I haven't come across any of these guys, so far. Then again, I'm still relatively new here. However, the program that Andres is talking about, sounds like it may be a good idea... Even just as a beta test, for now, and then maybe long term implimenting.
