I know we kinda touched on this subject in a different thread but i would welcome discussion. I am struggling to make any genuine connections when only communicating thru messages or text. Any thoughts? How do you find that lil thrill that makes u wanna know more when only using the written word?

This might not help ya at all but I like to ask and be asked questions that make the person think. Example: If your house was on fire and you could save only one material possession what would it be and why.

I like if u were dying and had only one phone call who wld u call? why? and why are u waiting? but dont know if that helps red....i am great with words...cld tell u anything u wanted to hear and make it sound good if i were not so honest...know that others can too, how do u trust just written words?

@RedDragon103: I remember one of the 1st house fires I went to. An eldery couple had lost all there house and most of their possessions. As we were digging thru the rubble, a co-worker found a necklace that was an anniversary gift to the lady from her husband. U wouldve thought she was jus given a billion dollars after being told it was found. She started crying...and a bunch of burly fireman got a few tears in their eyes also, though they probably won't admit it lol Just thought it related to ur question. As for me, if my house were on fire, I'd save my pictures of my daughter. Lost her in '05 in a car accident and they r the only ones I have

@Ram that would definently be the first thing id save to, got me fighting tears again. I have always told everyone to grab my cedar chest cuz it has all my sentimental items in it. Now as far as the thread ques, i only text and i hate it. I feel more comfortable texting cuz i can think about what i want to say & make it sound good, as if i was talking id be on the spot to come up with a quick come back. Trusting the written word is hard, but once u trust it u can move forward and u'll crave the conversation.

@Brighteyes1211: but bright that is kinda what concerns me....to get to know him i want his immediate response not what he has time to write to look good...really not trying to argue just genuine discussion

@Ladawn idk, i think u jus have to go with ur gut, i can usually tell when a guy is feeding me a bunch of bull & when hes being real. Jus gotta have faith in them, if u dont feel it, u jus dont feel it. Ive stopped talking to ppl in the drop of a dime cuz i thought i was being played, its hard to tell, but on the other hand, they have to trust and have faith tht everything i text is real to & not jus bull.

@Brighteyes1211: i think u have some valid points bright....is guy in okc(bout an hour and a half from me) and keeps comng up with excuses why he "only" texts an doesn't hav time to meet....all responses are great and we text all day but some lil niggle is holdin me back from really being smitten just in case....was really just trying to see if my caution is validated ;o)~

@Ladawn hes that close & doesnt have time to meet? Hmmm...id 2nd guess that too, most guys r eager to talk & meet, its usually the woman thats shy & withheld in my opinion. Sounds like he might have something to hide, idk girl but i wish u luck. :)
