@Trisha777: Well let me see. 1st of all Popeye got beat up till he ate some spinach. 2) Olive was a Gold Digger. Whenever Popeye didn't have money to take her out on a date, she would get mad & go out with Blotto. Poor Popeye tried to satisfy her but she was never satisfied until Blutto showed his true colors of being an abusive jerk. She didn't realized that Popeye was a good guy who treated her as a lady until the end of every cartoon. Well that's the way I see it.

@Trisha777: Did you know Barney Fife was a Player? Oh sure he had Thelma Lou as a girlfriend but he thought he had her in his hip pocket, so he like to call the diner & talk to Juanita. He aslo got engaged with a woman who moved to Mayberry with her dad but turned out her dad was her husband & they tried con Barney into marriage then sue him for breach of promise. Barney also had gotten himself & Andy dates with 2 Fun Girls, they had a picnic in the courthouse/jail. So yes I believe Barney Fife was a Player...

Omgsh! a player? really? i think that is sooooo funny! having met a few players in my day i can say that Mr. Fife absolutely does not have the smooth moves that would qualify him as a player! a wannabe maybe ;o)
