Natural Disasters (by MrRamtasticAkaRam318)
Stuck in the house and snowed in for 3 days couldnt drive nowhere they closed all the roads and stores in town till they could take care of all the snow it had 2 be trucked away ! But everybody knew it was coming and was prepared for it so it was kinda cool ! We always get lots of snow anyways this was just an extreme Blizzard and it snowed for 2 days straight u coudnt see 2 feet in front of u!Some places got over 4 feet !
Our blizzards here are something fierce. One Christmas a while back, we got something like 6 ft of snow over just a few days. And we get Ice storms every once in a while that shut everything down for a few days (Especially the power ^.^) But it's gorgeous to see everything (And I do mean EVERYTHING) covered in a thin sheet of ice. The world looks like it's made of glass.

oh yea i did and floods and blizzards...and by far the worst for me was the wildfires of a few weeks ago...
@heike and @Irish: I think a blizzard cud be fun if u were prepared for it...like plenty of food n booze lol
Oh yeah, you gotta be prepared for them. We usually get a good heads up though. The ice storms are harder to predict.
i've seen a tornado as it took several houses right acrost my street and i've been through 2 eartquakes and one was really wierd cause i was sitting in my chair and had just closed my eyes for a split second and opened them and my house was swaying like crazy i didnt like it much lol
@bigd: yea a quake wud freak me out lol. Its like, wat can u do? U can't run hahaha
right haha gives ya the willies o and new york is bad on snow the most i've ever seen was 6.5 ft of snow and it was rough doings lol it is still hard to prepare for that much snow in a minimum time
Got caught on a 42 ft boat out in the middle of Lake Michigan during a really bad storm once! The boat lost all power and we battled 15 ft waves all afternoon and most of the night. We got lucky, and got finally got rescued by a coast guard cutter! A storm on the Great Lakes may not sound that bad, but they've been known to sink large ships!
