Why is it that most ppl value possession over love and dreams though they claim to follow jesus and the bible???? And y do those that believe in god and its omnipresents restrict themselves to only one belief????

Christians believe in only one God and all that they believe as far as religion is concerned is based on the bible.

It's hard to separate oneself completely from the world, even when one is a Christian. I pray for strength to resist temptation and forgiveness because I know that I'm not perfect.
It would be "God and His omnipresence." Which just means that he's everywhere, so I'm not quite sure what you're getting at?

@ThatNerdyChick: i have a completely different view than the world but the same as all. But for something to be truely omnipresent it has to be all things. But christian based religions view only one possibility out of all the possibilities like that god is actually both sides. As in it tempts u to save u, and saves u to tempt u greater so u can grow beyond yourself.

@Sasha26: in my opinion i believe all religions only believe partial truths of the whole picture. All have a diety to represent a different belief and extremeity ie like the christian god being the representation of judgement or thor/zues being representation of lightning. But all to me r restricted by the balance that keeps them separate but binds them together which i believe is god not the dieties. But i would bow to any that r good like the ancestors that existed before us. But again its just an opinion and sorry if this offends anyone

Well at least you do believe in God. Good for you. Every living creature, deity, being, form, spirit...gosh can't think of other terms for anything living and breathing etc...SATAN itself strongly believes in God (in a bit of a sadistic way) Why else would it be trying so hard to lure souls away from GOD its Father in Heaven. God Bless.

@JohnLS: I'm sorry.. I'm having trouble understanding where you're coming from. But I believe that omnipresent means to be in all places, not to be all things. And "to be in all places" as a witness. I've never done any extensive research in theology so I apologize for not being able to properly answer your question. /:

@ThatNerdyChick: my belief derives from a strange aspect that everything has an opposite good/evil hot/cold wet/dry. I believe like in the yin-yang god is both sides but neither. It is the thing that binds them together but keeps them separate. I believe everyone believes in the same god just everyone has a different view of what it is. This is just my opinion about it. Most christian based religions, at least most people i have talked to dont even know the name of their god is jehovah and jesus is a descendant of the ancestors that jehovah made the promise to according to the bible. Rather sad really that they worship something they dont even have a full comprehension of. Again this is just an opinion. A singular opinion amongst a plural of possibilities about a plural that is all singularities.

Thoreau had a good grasp. I like his quotes on god. the wisest man preaches no doctrines, he has no schemes, he sees no rafter, not even a cobweb against the heaven. It is a clear sky
