@jerryyy12: depends on how close they are. But is for the best not to ask her out unless you truely love her.

Alot of girls have a man as a best friend, its a tough situation. Cuz u they can be "jus friends" but u gotta know theres always gonna be a small amount of competition. Who cares for her more? Is she gonna go out with u or him friday nite? Whos gonna protect her the best? I had a best friend that was male and its difficult if u dont know and set boundaries

I think it depends on the girl. Some girls can have a best guy friend and have no further interest in him. Some girls just get attracted to almost anyone. The same like some guys. All girls are different. It also depends on if the girl likes you enough to not want to mess it up. But i'd stay away if the best guy friend was an ex boyfriend.

My two main best friends are a girl and guy couple and they're always stopping at mine and there is no attraction between me and him at all. We take the **** out of each other a lot though but also are really close. They actually just found out they are having their first baby together and asked me to be godmum. But I also have a close guy friend back in the isle of man, he is grunge and a skater and plays guitar, my type really, we've been friends over ten years and I am attracted to him looks and personality, he knows, but I've never jumped him. We've been friends so long I wouldn't jeopardise what we have now :)

What if they never had a romantic relationship, but one of them stays over their house to sleep sometimes?

I have had guy friends stay the night. It still can be a platonic relationship.

Then u jus answered ur own question. If u cant/dont trust her then theres no sense in asking her out cuz without trust it will never work
