Did you wash your hair daily ?

I read this online and would like to share it to my fellow " mobians "

( Please NEVER try to avoid smelly hair )

Quotes :

No way is that good for your hair!

Wetting, maybe, you can away with, but daily washing deprives the subcutaneous glands of a job.

They compared humans to dogs. Possibly not the best comparison in the world, but the idea behind their hypothesis was that dogs' coats stay shiny bright on a good diet, regardless of doggie baths.

They said they had humans who trialled an extended period of not washing hair - brushing and grooming, wetting when they showered but not actually washing hair.

They said hair goes greasy at first, then dry, then greasy, then bounces with perfect health!

Dunno if TRUE :)

Generally if you wash your hair too much in a week you strip your scalp of its vital oils which helps keep hair shiny and strong. You can also get a dry itchy scalp if you wash your hair too much times in the week. But this differs from person to person because we are all different.

Oh and and obviously the better your diet, the better your body can do it's job. :-)

I don't wash my hair daily. Every other day I do and I also only blow dry and straighten it a couple of times a week because I've heard heat damages your hair. I dye it every 6 weeks to 2 months. And a little tip which I find helps keep my hair nice is, instead of spending loads of money on conditioning treatment, I put together all my spare normal conditioner then once a month I'll put a whole load all over my hair in the bath or shower, leave it on 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off. Its brilliant :)

Well you always end up having a load spare, especially if you dye your hair so why not. I can't afford all those expensive ones anyways. Just gotta get creative sometimes :)

@VampDoll: have you ever tried homemade conditioners etc? There are a lot on the internet and some are from respectable websites so you know that they aren't talking crap. I think egg is good for you hair egg whites. It's worth doing a search or two on homemade hair treatment recipes.
