My (F26) Bf (M27) made a rude comment I can?t shake
My boyfriend & I have been together for over a year. We were at a work event & got pretty buzzed. I was talking with others & see him on his phone so I popped up to him & said ?hey who are you texting?? in a way I was wondering if he wanted to meet up with friends after this like we talked about previously. He sharply responds ?a girl from college is town. Don?t freak out she?s over 200 lbs.? my heart sank. I have never heard him talk like that before. I walked away & brought it up later. I told him I didn?t recognize who he was when he said that. He apologized & said he didn?t want to fight that he was texting a girl that happened to be an old friend. I can?t let go of his comment. It felt so nasty. I know we all say things we don?t mean but how should I interpret this? Has your significant other said something you would have never expected them to say, in a negative way?
