If you choose filthy rich, you have all the money you'd ever want or need, but you're also mentally deficient. Not quite unable to take care of yourself, but prime special ed material in grade school. Say you're only slightly more intelligent than Forrest Gump.
If you choose dirt poor but very intelligent, you're extremely smart - under better circumstances you might be a renowned chemist or theoretical physicist, but you can never quite seem to catch a break and spend your entire life working low paying entry level jobs.
