I ALWAYS make sure "nice girls finish first"

Last in home care job I had, took care of 2 people sent home from 6 month nursing home stay, on hospice, to die. Long story short, I changed their meds, eating, exercise and hygiene care-they both got better:)Started walking again, etc. Lived for almost 3 more years under my care-then the man succumbed to cancer in August of last year:( His last days were everything he wanted and needed, I stayed 24/7 the last week of his life because family went to Florida vacation the day after he was put back on hospice:( I didn't charge them for the nights I stayed that week-they had also promised I'd still take care of my lady after he passed. Needless to say, they dismissed me-the day he died:( His body was still in the bed, and they tell me they're putting wife in nursing home-selling the house:( I went above and beyond for that family..but in the end I know Mister and Mrs. SweetPea knew that-they loved me too: )Still, w those kind of jobs, it's best to remember..that's all it is...a job..
