What happened 10 years ago, that doesn't seem like 10 years ago? (by Sparky)

At count 1836 lost their lives and to this day there are still people not counted for. 108 billion dollars of damages. And hundreds of thousands left homeless. The mississippi and louisiana gulf coast was completely destroyed epecially gulfport and biloxi mississippi and new orleans louisiana
This was a time that the united states government really showed their true colors and turn their backs on their own people. The. US government waited over a week to help and assist people with food and water and medical supplies and left people stranded for days. That was a time for me to remember
