I will add this....I didnt buy my first firearm. I got a lil marlin .22 for my 8th bday from my dad...every friend I grew up with got a firearm around that age. We all plinked and hunted with one from an early age.
We were taught firearm safety by our fathers and uncles, and we didnt have accidents because we knew we wldnt be allowed to go out shooting again. We knew what damage a bullet would do. We shot countless squrrels, rabbits and deer.....and we knew the finality of a gunshot. We knew there wasnt a reset button if we accidently shot a person. We knew firearms werent part of some video game.
We absolutely loved shooting and hunting while growing up....and we were all pretty good kids.....we knew acting like a lil sh!t wld get those firearms priviledges taken away.....and no way we wanted that.
By starting shooting at such a young age, we learned responsibilty and discipline. And we valued life.....as any hunter should.
It was a wonderful childhood and I pity kids today who dont get a chance to have that.

My first was 22 single shot & I was around 8. I started learning round 6 maybe earlier. I agree with walks its a shame that kids now days are learning from video games instead of parents and others.

I'm a American, I defend my home, family, and country with my right to keep and bare arms.I've loved shooting from a child, gun safety is no.1, and if the truth be known, gun control is people control, outlaws will always have guns, there outlaws, besides, gun control won't fix stupid.
