In this scenerio one wld have to assume there are no kids....and in that case I cld live off the land in the hills of Louisiana easily for a year and still have money leftover.

Yea this question wasnt set up very well.....Do you get any clothes to start off with? Rifle? Survival gear? Or do you hafta buy that stuff out of the $500? Can you use what you already own?

How? A cpla changes of clothes, a jacket, a .22, a brick of ammo, and a cane pole and hooks, fishing line and a knife, flint and steel fire starter Done deal. Squirrels, rabbits, and fish for errybody! Hell, pick up some veggie seeds to boot.
