Only children??? (by Singlemom2011)
If u r an only child did u feel like u were missing something or was it a good thing when u were growing up jw if im hurting or bettering my daughter
It depends on how you handle your child.. I mean if you fully showed her/him your love and care...he wont think about stuff like there's something missing..
Im the youngest among the 4 children, with 18yrs gap with my sister... As i grew, my siblings werent around the house, busy with their jobs..im feeling so alone and an only child of the family..
My mom is tough and rude, i could not even play with my neighbors, very overprotective..
And that made me start to think maybe something is missing and i just cant figure it out..
Just saying. Hehe

Being a parent is the most difficult job there is. I'm sure you are a loving & devoted mom.
As long as a child has one good/ healthy parent, (or grand parent, etc) they will be okay. And as long as they have frequent playtime with other kids, their own age.. Then they learn social skills & interaction with the outside world.
No worries :-)

Maybe you were just lonely & didn't get enough postive individual attention.
This happens in big families. And sometimes moms don't want to let go of the 'baby'.
But as an adult you don't have to be alone & can 'baby' yourself.
I grew up with 12 siblings & 1st cousins.
So I had to learn to put myself first.
*I have over 30 first cousins.. I think I'm related to everyone. HeeHee*

Shes 3....she'll be in school soon and be around kids her own age most of the day.
And being with any kids, no matter their age is better than nothing.
I wldnt fret abt it, kids are tougher than we give em credit for.

Just be yourself. And not to hard on yourself. You are just shy. Think of your positive qualities. You have many.
And I'm sure that shyness, your good qualities, your big humble heart ,morals... Have kept you out of a lot of trouble & that there are many who love & respect you.

Soon enough.. She will be running home saying " Mommy, my friend, ------'"
And you will look at that little person & think "What happened to my baby? She is growing up". *smile*
