Truckers of Dating.mobi: what is the scariest thing you have heard over the CB radio? (by Sparky)
Well, we laid a strip for the Jersey shore
And prepared to cross the line
I could see the bridge was lined with bears
But I didn't have a dog-goned dime.
I says, "Pig Pen, this here's the Rubber
Duck.
"We just ain't a-gonna pay no toll."
So we crashed the gate doing ninety-eight
I says "Let them truckers roll, 10-4."
Nah....I aint a trucker, just wanted to post that though

@WalkSoftly: I love that song! Patially because we used to run convoys like that. USED TO! We would never do that anymore! Lmao. Actually because of the nature of my niche in the trucking industry, we are sometimes required to run convoys. And sometimes required to have a mile in between trucks. Just depends on the state and the size of the load.
But to the original point of the scariest thing I've heard over the CB...
I have heard narcotics being sold over the cb, minors offerred up for prostitution, aside from the "normal" sex trade offerred. I have heard bear reports, accident reports, traffic reports, endless profanity, racism, homophobia, tactless jokes, people who shouldn't be alowed to breed, much less talk over public airwaves.

accident reports,
Radio traffic of any kind is interesting to me though. While working for the fire dept., we wld keep a radio scanning other municipalities fire, sherrifs, police, and EMS services. If you knew the terminology, it was like a live movie you cld suddenly become a part of.
@WalkSoftly: Well in the 70s i didnt have a 18 wheeler but i did have a cb and my handal was little yeller rubber duck.and had an out side speacher and i would ride throw town singing shes a brick house.
@WalkSoftly: yeah, I've had a few that I know get severely injured. But the the accident reports are nothing compared to what I see out here. I can tell you how many accidents I've witnessed and had to stop to render assistance. I've also been involved in two. Both times I was hit by a four-wheeler(a car). I have also had a lot of near misses where I've nearly been run over while working. I hate UPS. I call them oops. They have almost killed me twice. I've been right behind a truck that rear ended another truck in a blizzard. The driver in front of me died in that one. I have lost track of the number of natural disasters I have driven through.
@WalkSoftly: it was cool then.I was high as a kit.but now it sounds dum......
