I was in a car accident and had to choose between hitting 3 children waiting for the school bus or the vehicle turning infront of me. I hit the car ofcourse it shattered my ankle into 211 pieces, i had an external fixature with rods sticking outts my leg, in a wheel chair for 6 months, had 3 surgeries, got a metal plate and 12 screws in my ankle now for eternity. Now why it happened idk other then to tell me to slow down. Tragic is all i can say. I feel it everyday, i cant run, i have done better then docs expected cuz most days i dont have a limp and they said i would never walk the same. Theres a 67% amputation rate for this injury so im VERYYYY LUCKY to have such a great surgeon.....i plan on having a tractor tatt put above my ankle tht says Hutchison made cuz i called my fixature my tractor (u know, she thinks my tractor's sexy lol) and Hutchison is my doc name and since he gave me a new ankle im gonna name it after him lol. He loved the idea :)
