You were only 5 yrs old. You acted on instinct, & you were not tainted by the world yet...
If you didn't go for help, then you would of consciously chosen for him to suffer or die. (Tainted) So imo, you did the right thing at the right time, the best you could at 5 yrs old.

@Zilya777: I always told myself id never be controlled or in a relationship that was abusive. Always was the one that told girls to stand up for themselves. When id stand my ground he'd make me feel i was wrong. Started changing me little at time to not say anythin

@Zilya777: It was easier to over look to avoid a fight that you weren't going to when. Letting him keep my head so messed up where i wasn't or couldn't think like myself. Turning me in to someone i didn't know or like....It was someone on this site that help me.

Abuse is not love, its a childish behavior, that say I want my way no matter what, call the cops, tell others near you, hopefully you have a gun, cause if he ever finds out who calls, you may face a confrontation, they feel god like in their actions, fear and control. If he forces his way in your house, shoot him.the kids deserve better and so does she, she sounds brain washed by his bull****.

Make sure he's dead if he ever comes in to your home. Making you defend yourself. Cuz if he don't die he can sue for medical bills & pain & suffering.

Honestly Lady Z, The ******* wouldn't have caused the emotional scars he did if I'd taken his word that he was alright.
