Adult Autism (by B3dR00m3y3z)

These days the efforts to help children is Godsend for any parent. There was nothing like for me growing up. My own teachers would call me retarded. I just hope that those these babies do not endure the institutional injustices and social stigma that many people myself included have faced as adults.

@B3dR00m3y3z: Hey.. It has been awhile. Are you Ok ? You can inbox me... And yes, it is a wee bit easier for kids today. Much of the stigma is gone. Sadly... Thru out time " most people fear what they do not understand ". But threads and conversations like this, give knowledge and enlighten.

@Zilya777: After inadvertly offending people with "creepiness" and was unable to resist being baited into an arguement with the whole site. I realized that I cant blend in and be "normal". my form of autism is relatively high but it isnt asbergers sadly. So I make terrible 1st impressions. It is depressing. Maybe if I can help these babies with autism inherit a more tolerant world. For now I might just watch cartoons.

@B3dR00m3y3z: Oh, please don't be too hard on yourself. We all f*ck up. We all have a bad day. And you are " self aware ", and you admitt and apologize. -:) This may not seem much to you right now.. But it means a lot.
And I can honestly say, you have always been polite and respectfull with me.

@Zilya777: Thank you Zilya its just in my personal life women have said behind my back "he would be cute if he werent creepy" "Is he slow? No? Well is he dangerous?" Some of these broads outweigh by more than 30 pounds! The assumations and speculations are much more severe. And my last employer saw me as a dim witted mark. Just depressing.

@B3dR00m3y3z: You are definitely NOT slow.. Sounds like you have been surrounded by IGNORANCE. Can you make some kind of change, in your life ? A job, a new neighborhood. A club or group ? Or volunteer? I think you have the heart and empathy for that :-)

Yeah I have to see what my options are far as volunteer work. I just been taking advantage of working 34 hours only not to be paid by an employer. But I dont mind breaking a sweat for a just cause.

Teachers called you retarded? That is beyond f*ucked up. I apologize for being so hard on you yesterday I didn't know you were autistic. I personally know that having a mental condition makes it hard to control what you're doing. As long as you admit your wrong doings and sincerely apologize its understandable. Just try your hardest not to let what happened yesterday happen again
