Get rid of your antivirus for starters cuz most antivirus's act like a virus themselves and slow your computer down , also turn off automatic updates But do make sure all your software is up to date, manually checking for updates every couple would be ok

Also periodically clear ur history n cookies n do a disc clean up n defray ur computer/laptop
