What's a conspiracy theory that you can make up, but sounds convincing?

Not really the same but made me think of this:
I once convinced a group of 10 people [CFAWers -college for a weekenders-] that the 4th floor in one of my colleges buildings was actually a cryogenics lab... it was just empty space at that time.
Here's what happened: I was on the elevator and person A asked what was on the 4th floor, I said without a pause: it's where we keep the bodies. The elevator went silent. Person B says the campus map says thats part of the science department... I said nothing, raised an eyebrow and got off then, cause we'd stopped on my floor...
Never gave it much thought, but a few months later... funniest thing I heard that rumor going around!

That a plane actually HIT the pentagon?

@WalkSoftly: true there isn't any evidence that it didn't but I do think that they weren't 100% truthful about everything. Try searching for hunt the boing on a search engine.
I think that 911 was the worst thing to happen but think that all governments should now come clean about how much they were involved or knew something and didn't tell us. Just my opinion and I don't want to offend anyone or upset anyone but I do know that governments want us to live in fear.

Hmm looks like something pretty darn big hit the Pentagon to me... also the pentagon WAS hit by a plane on 9/11 125 people lost their lives that day... so yes there was a plane.
