@tractorjohn: Ah well around where i am they're one the biggest tomatoe exports in the south east. They also grow wheat, barley, all different kinds really, but the tomatoe is the biggest here. The rest are just locally grown and sold in farmers markets.

Oh dear, barely *tractorjohn,* mostly hormone injected foods an organic very exp. Have fruit and veg city shops nice produce but unsure if tainted with hormones? have lots african entrepreneurs on road sides or flea mkts sell produce cheaper than supermarkets. S africa hums with small pavement sellers. I live suburbs but close to main shop areas tho not in cape towns cbd itself, its a 20min drive to city hub n suburbs confusing. So close you cross a str n in next suburb

@Trisha777: I like to see the Cango Caves & go camping there. Here in Arkansas there is a city called Murfreeboro that mines Diamonds & you can go search for them yourself to keep. Where I live we find a few Arrowheads after the rain. Lots of history in this state from America's Civil War also known as The War Between The States, someplaces have re-enactments seen one once it was cool to watch. Now in the border states they have different sites that are places I would enjoy going to see.

@Trisha777: Alot of people growing their own gardens usually make their own can goods from sauces to canned food such as beans, sweet corn, peas, tomatoes, okra and fruits as well. Nothing like homegrown food at least you know what's been on them. Here on the farm we usually grow some peas and melons too. But sometimes the coyotes will eat the melons at night.
