Historians of Dating.mobi, what commonly accepted historical inaccuracies drive you crazy? (by Sparky)
I think that's a misconception more than an inaccuracy because all slaves traded through the Transatlantic slave trade were black. You're right though, slavery and indentured servitude were happening before Africans were brought to the U.S...and even still today.
There was a whole town/village of people from the west of Ireland taken & traded into slavery in North Africa in the 17th century. And those traders were black. "The Lost Village" was a book written about their ordeal. Yes, The Africans were said to have been the most notorious slave traders.
I don't care race creed or color slavery is wrong and it don't mount to a hill of beans WHO the most notorious was
That Winston Churchill was president of the United States and the pilgrims landed in Pennsylvania.
