I've provided at least one link in this thread. there are many other sources that speak the truth of this man and his character. Rainbow , he may have freed blacks from the slavery as whites but a good comparison would be that Hitler protected the Germans from the Jews... we all know Hitler was evil but Mandela was no different except he killed on a smaller scale..
edit: just realized the link is in the other mandela thread.

and he was only released after 27 yrs because the organization he was involved with finally took control and released him. he was also on the us terrorist watch list until 2008.. seems obama may have had something to do with that one

@tat2d1976: No problem :) I did some research after I seen your comments and you're right, he killed many, including women and children, so whatever good he did afterwards is irrelevant. I don't see why our President, current and past are all going to his service. They are expecting over 100,000 people to attend. Maybe I'm missing something.

@Briteeyes: apparently I'm missing something as well. I don't believe the atrocities he commited can be redeemed no matter what you do.

^ Thank you to the links provided .

Do you guys seriously give credits the blog written by the author whom can't take himself seriously ? ( See the first link) . He too doesn't cite any referrences ( his blog was based from a first hand knowledge ? ) . The first blog appears to me as a blog intended to generate some sort of revenues & not handing out almost- precise information .

I have no trust to any blogger / online writer when he/she isn't a well-traveled person nor been to places to experience & gather first-hand info about the subject .

Since I am just an outside spectator & only received info from the whispers of the wind then I am not certain what really are the facts about him BUT only one thing that both parties agreed , He ( Mandela ) ended apartheid & that alone is applauded .

It would be great if members from S. Africa may enlighten us ( I know there are members here who are on their 50's I think ?)

Giving back the dignity and freedom of black people from his generation to the next, next , next & next -+ generation was priceless act already of him .

A person who never experience being discriminated , never experience being a slave in his/her own country then that person will never understand the struggle , the hope & the desire of those people .
