Thanksgiving (by Smh247)
Im gratefull everyday, in a spirtual sense. But I do not acknowlge Thanksgiving. *If I list all the reasons, why.. Like history & lies.. Well, there could be a war, right here...lol * But I view it as a "Harvest Family & Friends "thing.. Which could be almost anytime of year. :) * Happy Harvesting :)
@Zilya777: I saw a show about how the Idea of the 1st Thanksgiving was totally wrong written in the history books. I can't remember very much about but seems the show said the Indians weren't invited to the party in the first place & it was just to give thanks for the harvest. I don't know what happened on the 1st Thanksgiving but I see it now as just a gathering for family & friends to enjoy eachother's company, sort of like a family reunion.
@TenFour: An Englisman who was visiting the settlers wrote in his journal, what he wittnessed that day. And the setters changed it. They were not invited your right. Five hunters showed up ****ed off & rightlful so... Then they returned w/the kill, for the starving & very inconsiderate settlers. Because they felt bad for them. The Englishmen was impressed with the natives.

@Zilya777: Yeah I believe that's what the show said & also something about there wasn't any turkey served, so how come it is now?
@TenFour: Many like.. Ben Frankin wanted the turkey as the national bird, instead of eagle. An Americans sitting down as families.. Eating donated food, was not going to make them look good. And art (NormanRockwell), & advertizing (Macy's) The 3 forces really changed all.. The fall/winter ideas & customs to the **** we have now.
