@Steve8145738611: I believe some1 tried but not good enough he got out hospital & started again. Was nice 2 b able walk down street or store for bout 2 weeks. I'm with a very nice man i met on here coming get me soon. I'm just worried cuz he has profiles on date sites.

I have, and i stayed for a while after realizing he was abusive because he apologized and promised me it would never happen again...they always seem to say that but it never lasts! The last time we were together he snapped my phone in half when i tried to call a cab to go home, spit in my face, and left a bruise on my neck from grabbing me and trying to choke me. When my mother and brother realized what was on the go they called him warning him to never contact me again, my brother wanted to kill him! He didn't mind beating women but when a man got involved and confronted him he turned into a little coward. Once a woman beater always a woman beater in my opinion..people like that do not change!

@ange1090: if some1 loves another they can change. But jmo that some1 that is like this can not or will not ever love or respect another. Jmo cuz they don't love them self & do not have self respect. I'm saying most not all cuz iv know couples that have changed.

@im1made4u: If someone loves another he would not lay his hands on them in the first place, that is not love! I guess it's possible for men like that to change but in my opinion, very few do! If a man gets angry and hits his woman, chances are it will happen again

@im1made4u: Just going by my experience, he never changed. My sister has been with many abusive men also, and they are the same scumbags as they always were
