Good afternoon to all of you. I have been searching through profiles and have noticed an unusual amount of women have asked for a man that wouldn't hit them. Is this really the kind of world that we live in? No one should have to ask for a partner that will not abuse them. Please lets treat our partners the way that they deserve to be treated.

Unfortunately there is a lot of abuse in this world. Rather with the woman and an ex, or a father and child, etc. No it shouldn't be listed as a requirement, but some have suffered so much, that's all they know.

I'm only 20 & I've been in two physically abusive relationships and I literally can only think on one who didn't abuse me emotionally / mentally. Its getting harder to find a good man, I pray this one is different.

Do you think that subconsciously they seek to find an abuser because as humans we are in our comfort zones living in ways we are familiar with?

Yes I do. Like I said, that's all they know, they may not mean to or be aware of it....byte if u grow up and live that lifestyle, that's what u are used to

I know you're not asking me but still I say no. Why would I want to be abused?? Its the place I live. I live in a very crappy place where men don't help raise their children. So when the boys grow they just copy what they've saw off tv. Its the media.

@Briteeyes: I actually agree :( it is what I'm used too but I don't want to stay in this lifestyle, change is hard.

@amny247: the younger generation of men haven't been taught the way to treat women. as far back as ancient times women were cherished and they still should be.

I've never been in a abusive relationship. I had a Guy push me while I was pregnant and stabbed him with scissors.

But I think saying a Guy is abusive toward women because he didn't have a father is bull**** and is just making excuses for them.
