Hope is such a fickle thing. One moment you grab at it and it embraces you as if it had been waiting for this moment your whole life. Before you know it all of those wonderful emotions it brings to you trickle through your fingers as if you were trying to hold a waterfall with your cupped hands. Eventually all that's left is a dozen raindrops that cling to the shallow depths of your palm. Then you have that moment of thinking if its really worth it to try and hold onto what's left. But that's why hope is such a unpredictable thing. Because you never know when it'll overwhelm you again.
