I was dating a lady i used to work with a couple of weeks ago. we went on 3 dates and nothing happened sexually. probably for the best coz it didnt work out. your not old fashioned, your parents brought you up properly to have respect for yourself the same as my parents brought me up

@Icefire: thats a very good question to a very sad answer. Dating in the modern world is less and less popular and as a result men and women dont practice it anymore. It is viewed as a thing of the past. Its like everyone wanna rush it and head straight to the bedroom. Its sad to say that this is the reality we face today. Do not lose hope for its all your responsibility to not rush things. If your mate do not take it slow i suggest u tell him to hit da road.

What i mean is by the second date the guy is wanting to move n. This happens over an over .I say no dnt know u well enough an i dnt thk that would b fair to my kids. Then im accussed of commitment issues , wnting a toy ..... The list goes on an on. That is usually our last date. I just wnt to date get to know someone not jump into something my kids and i may regret. Am i the only person who thinks this way?
No you are not the only one who thinks this way, I do too. I dont think men are ok with this either if women did it to them. Dating someone doesn't instantly become a full-fledged contract. Unless other things have been discussed and both people have agreed to something serious before and after the date, to me a date is a date...a moment where you and the guy can get together and spend some time getting to one another. However, people try to tie in other things with it and it doesn't work. There should be no separate agendas if it's just a date. Not even sex in my opinion.

Most people are looking for just sex these days, not dating or anything else.
