Should goverment cut food stamps? (by Reinmaker56)
@CarefulBitchesImPregnant: my mom was doin cocaine while pregnant with me cuz my dad left an she thought id be worthless. At three she threw me out of a 3rd story window good thing there was a bush to keep me from dying. When shbe got me back fr dfs she made me go 2 days without food untill shes give me ramen noodles and then another 2 days withouttill i joined the military at 17. When i was 18 my 3 yr old daughter raychel died. Ive fought as hard as i can to keep outta this situation yet im still here and still being judged negitavly bc im not laying down and dying of starvation instead of spending other ppls tax money...
@Noresttonight: nobody here said food stamps should be cut out all together but all I'm hearing is excuses and more excuses.
@CarefulBitchesImPregnant: im also on TANF temporary assistance for needy families. We get 200 to live off of every month that pays for the cell bill which i use for the internet. And btw i bought the phone while i was still in the military. And the rent and the utilities. There no money left for anything...
wouldn't it be cheaper without the internet. Or to get a safelink phone. And don't you also get a disability check
No your being judged because you keep typing words asking us to feel sorry for you....kid you have NO idea what our lives are like...we ain't asking you to feel sorry for us and I guarantee that some of us equal or better your sob story....the difference is we adapt and overcome and were grateful for assistance while we helped ourselves! We didn't feel like it was OWED to us because our lives were so pitiful...so if your feeling judged its for the "oh poor me" attitude NOT because you need assistance!!!!
Seems so far from comments most in this poll thinks they should.
Not me....there is a genuine need for foodstamps. Personally I don't know what I wld have done without them during one period of my life. That doesn't alter my opinion that there should be some common sense applied to distribute them to those in genuine need, NOT to those that have other options that require personal responsibility and therefore are rejected!
