@Rambler: Actually its not the law of the land....just in 13 states...there are 29 states with constitutional amendments banning same sex marriage...its my understanding that last months supreme court ruling basically confused the issue even more....though it did allow same sex couples rights to benefits....even if married in a state that alllows same sex marriage and the couple moves to a state that doesnt allow it....there are tons of cases on the horizon, both for and against the issue......my personal opinion is that marriage is basically a contract so I have no problem if any two people enter into it...but I also respect any churches right not to marry homosexuals if they dont want to.

My nephew is gay and is in a very serious relationship and i will be the first to stand beside him when they decide if thay decide to get married....love is love and to sit there and judge something you know nothing of just proves how shallow and small minded you are...

@WalkSoftly1: hey walk, you are accurate in that the recent cases have muddied the waters a touch, but there was more than just the case of rights of wedded gays. The supreme court also struck down cali's ban on gay marriage. I will just say right off the bat that I am not a christian, nor could I ever be, but I am with you 100 per cent that no one should be forced to perform a marriage that goes against their faith barring of course those justices of the peace that hold public office. If they want the job, you gotta be willing to do the job. But I am with ya, bro!

@Kingsley86: what is a sin to you is not a sin to others. And then there are those like me that don't believe in sin. Worship your god in your way and let everyone else do the same according to what they view to be right.
