I have to write some poems for my creative writing class, and am stuck.
I know right?
But it is because I have to use prompts... lmao. I am stuck on which one to use. so I'ma be messing around here and would love feedback as I go, so I can turn in the best one possible, (I will post the prompts on the poem I used them in)... so. poems to follow. lmao

I have to pick from one of these:
"Write a poem using the following metaphors: a course of sorrow, a spoonful of delight, a knot of hate
Write a poem using the following metaphors: a pitcher of bitterness, a taste of sacrifice, a house of delight
Create a poem using Emily Dickinson’s, “Bring me the sunset in a cup” as a starting point for your poem.
Create a poem using “The sun bows as pain vibrates” as a starting point for your poem."

So I figure I would try my hand at all of them and pick out the best one. lol

Attempt 1: (using the prompt The sun bows as pain vibrates)

-any and all thoughts are welcome (and needed!)-

The sun bows as pain vibrates.
The words of my misery
Are echoing in my head.
My heart hurts
And my body aches.
The hours pass faster,
6pm becomes 6am
And still I sit here
Withering in my agony
My misery and my pain.
Like a house in mourning,
The room grows eerily dark
And once again that mocking sun,
He bows his smiling face
Upon my pain.

I like the course of sorrow, that could be taken places! I would love to use a taste of sacrifice, but that might **** some people off! Lol
