Hi everyone this is the very first poem i wrote age 11 the timing may be off but just wanted to share it anyway its called summer is over and gone:
The leaves have fallen off the trees,
swimmers have gone from the seas,
summer is over and gone.
electric blankets are on again,
days are shorter, nights are longer,
summer is over and gone.
christmas thoughts and christmas songs,
for conker games the children long,
summer is over and gone.
buttercups are dying, creatures hibernating, breezes sighing,
summer is over and gone.
The swallows to far off lands have flown,
summer is over and gone.
No more sun bathing, much too cold,
summer is over and gone.
No hot sun, no salads, no more picnics,
summer is over and gone.

Awwww that was really good...i mean REALLY good

That's a good poem for an 11yr old to write :)
it has a nice rhythm to it that makes the lines flow together
