Ive had it... Starbucks is now on my ban list for good (smoking bans) (by FunkThis)

Today Starbucks increased their smoking ban to include the 25 feet outside their stores. They are now on my banned list for good. Its not enough all these self righteous hypocritical people forced us outside in all kinds of weather to smoke. And just for the record I was fine with that after awhile. I do understand the dangers of smoking and second hand smoke but now they are hitting the outside and thats where I have to draw the line. So whoever decides to follow suit will also go on that list. If all the smokers did the same thing these companies would have a hard time surviving. Thats just my opinion and you can put it in your pipe and smoke it!!!i
I agree with them. We have to walk pass people who are smoking right beside the door

I actually avoid places where smokers are out front. Why? Within seconds of walking through the smoke: I am covered in hives. My older sister is worse, she'll start having breathing issues. No you all shouldn't be pushed far away from a building but I dislike having to walk through a group of you RIGHT by the front door because it DOES affect me. I hang out eight smokers, so long as they agree to not directly smoke near me (a few feet is fine) or I sit in the car.... but I hate having to walk through the cloud at the front of stores. Because I WILL break out and itch ALL day. 25 ft is too much, but I think there could be a compromise in there somewhere... maybe an area just for you off to the side. Where I wouldn't have to ho and could more eadolt avoid then the front door... just my thoughts.
More to the story. I heard they had it at 15 ft. and are extending it to 25

@FunkThis: see. I (being someone who would benefit) think that's to far. 10 ft IMO is even to far. But I also think having an area off to the side is the best solution ... I can avoid it and they could offer a side door out to it and make it covered. Kinda like a side porch for smokers. Be better then punishing y'all totally. Cause like I said I refuse to walk through the front door right by the smokers so I wont be covered in hives.

@YouCantFixStupid: Nooooo... If you personaly don't like something you can't just appeal to someone's common sense. You have to make a law about it.

While a sectioned off area just for smokers seems to be the logical solution, Id be willing to bet that Starbucks is also trying to make a political statement aimed at appeasing its left leaning customer base.
