By smoking its your choice to do so...its not everyones choice to smoke..I personally like the idea..i dont want my 2 yr old subjected to smoke cause someone else chooses to smoke...your talking about rights to smoke? What about the rights of the non smoker?

@FunkThis: tis the same concept as drunk drivers...if an individual decides to use bad judgement and drive drunk then someone innocent can suffer the consequences...and the innocent can't walk away to get out of harms way, it comes out of nowhere. Yet we don't ban drinking....we punish afterwards, but what good does that do the innocent. If you don't want to be affected by a smokers bad habit get up and walk away....

No I shouldn't have to get up and walk away no more then I should have to stop driving to avoid drunk drivers. Drinking and driving is against the law so IT HAS been banned....even in restaurants....just like smoking

Dennis I understand where youre coming from. I do. but the non smoker got their rights when they chose to kick us out to the outside to smoke. Im talking about the smokers rights because we are the ones that have had and continue to have our rights completely taken away.

I agree. Im just tired of the few rights we have as Americans getting taken away one by one just to suit somebodys agenda....Theres a whole lot more behind what I feel but I dont want to get to political on here.

@FunkThis: Im a smoker..however i dont smoke around my daughter or any other lil'ns..its a bad example..i have no problems going to a designated area to smoke..if people want to complain bout smoking they shouldnt be in the designated area..rights to smoke werent taken away just made safer for the non smokers

No drinking has NOT been banned, drinking and driving over a certain limit is against the law...yet millions of Americans do it everyday. They get caught when they hurt an innocent. So shld we ban ALL drinking? Smokers compromised....they go outside....we compromise the right of the sober driver with the right of an individual to drink....where is the common sense? Why must smokers lose ALL rights?
