Can anyone tell me why it never gets easier to deal with the loss of a parent? My father died November 13, 2009 and it feels like it was yesterday. I get tired of hearing "it gets easier" thats crap. I never does.

Find peace in the little things or nothings gonna get better my daugter died march of 2010 and it still hurts but shes at peace now and wont ever know any more pain or suffering. Same with your father. Find peace in that. Oh and my daughter was born november 13 2007

The pain never gets easier...it becomes a numb place in ur heart. Dealing with it gets easier over time, but the sorrow is always there. My daddy passed February 2004 seems like yesterday, I still cry, I still morn and that's ok

@americanbadass77: it doesn't get easier sweetie i buried a child in 94 and not a day goes by that he is not thought of. All we can do is remeber the good things and hope someday we will see them again in what ever afterlife you believe exists. Memories keep them alive within us and help us through the difficult times when they would have been there to lift us from our sorrow. It is all we can do to push forward and keep living because they would want us to. Parents always want their children to live and have a full life just as they did.
