There's a difference in parents and grandparents unless the grandparents are raising u. But in this case ur parents allowed ur grandmother to take u to her church...so yes she had that right

I just don't think you can force a religion on anybody. You can tell them about it but in the end you can not force somebody to believe

I was forced to eat my vegetables which I hated but I had no choice about it till I was old enough to decide on my own

@Briteeyes: I was suppose to be raised in the roman catholic religion due to my.heritage but no one ever took me to a catholic church.

@CookieRaider: I don't understand "suppose to be" and due to heritage? If ur parents or grandparents chose a different religion other then Roman Catholic that's their right, just as its ur right now as an adult to decide ur religion

Odd that all the time Christ was on earth he never built a single church. And his step Dad was a carpenter.
Dont need sticks and stones to worship your religion what I was told.. You can do that anytime of the day :)

I was learning more of who I was in middle school and most irish people that I've ran into are catholic and that's where I wanted to go to learn more but never knew how to convert to that without a lot of family judging me over it cause most don't like that religion. So I pretty much stuck with what everyone else did so I wouldn't be an outcast or black sheep. And I only went to church with my grandmother just to make her happy.

Ohhh, well I'm Irish to and wasn't raised Catholic, as a child u can't convert into ur own religion, its almost impossible. But u can believe what u choose cuz no one can do that for u. The good thing is NOW u can choose, if u wish to proceed in seeking out the Catholic faith then do that and see if it fits u
