Need to quit smoking asap (by Sweetred73)

Learned my hip is fractured. Dr thinks it occurred when I was extremely overweight but that smoking weakened the bone and made the crack spread. He cant do surgery until i quit...and get vitamin D level up. Normal D is 29 mine's 13. Looks like i have to go cold turkey so any pointers would be appreciated.

with the electronic cigarettes, you get the feeling of smoking and the nicotine, and you can gradually drop the level of nicotine down to zero.

Chantix unfortunately cant be mixed with some of my meds.

I was just recently told there are e-cigs with 0 nicotene so i may try that...sunflower seeds seems good too.

I just took really deep breaths when i started to get cravings after i quit. Believe it or not pretending to smoke a non existant cigarette did it for me. lol i may just be a nut though. :p
