I dropped my phone in the water bucket. (by bigred1219)
@CookieRaider: i will check the you tube and remain open minded
Yeah open it take the battery out and cover it all in rice..with the phone still open it worked with a phone that fell in the lake when i was fishing...sadly not when a kid poured soda on one!
I know that but with the soap and stuff in just ruined it. I was going to buy a new one down the road but now i'm at the junction
@bigred1219: pstt if you use a sandwich baggie that zips or snaps when its raining out or by water and you drop it.. Your phone will be safe and you can still text.. Just be hard to talk through plastic. But it works lol I text while taking a shower haha
@bigred1219: the rice does work dropped mine in the toilet and it worked also a hair dryer will too
I have a waterproof phone. Samsung rugby smart. Shatterproof and dust proof.
The best thing to do is submerge the phone in rubbing alcohol first. It basically replaces the water and dries faster. Once that is done put it in a plastic bag filled with dry rice and wait a few days. What ever you do don't try to turn it on before you do this or it will be fried.
Ok...but does it get fried if its dropped in water when its already on?
Possibly but trying to turn it back on with water in the battery will for sure fry it.
