I have a waterproof phone. Samsung rugby smart. Shatterproof and dust proof.

The best thing to do is submerge the phone in rubbing alcohol first. It basically replaces the water and dries faster. Once that is done put it in a plastic bag filled with dry rice and wait a few days. What ever you do don't try to turn it on before you do this or it will be fried.

Ok...but does it get fried if its dropped in water when its already on?

Possibly but trying to turn it back on with water in the battery will for sure fry it.
