First impressions to me are moot. Ive found most people, or some, are either just flat out fake, or sometimes to shy to be themselves, Ive met people and couldnt stand them off rip, then later found they were very great people, or a better example, the man I dated once for 2 years before I seen a side of him I couldnt live w/. Although this, being a texting site, something has to catch your interest in order to continue the conversation, So w/ all that being said... Importance can go both ways

Ppl say u only get a first impression once....which is true...but alot of times even if that 1st impression isnt so great u give that person a chance and see just how wonderful they are....then that 1st impression is completely forgotten....so ima say 1st impressions may seem important to some....but not to me....i like to give someone a chance to show their true self before i decide on whether i like them or not....its not always that a person gives a bad 1st impression....sometimes they give good ones....GREAT ones....yet u end up feelin the fool once u see theyre not all that great....it goes the same both ways....so in my opinion theyre insignificant....just sayin

@AnnieFunk: Thats very true but i had never looked at it like that. But its amazin how when the newness wares off a relationship the thing u loved u now hate and the thing u hated u now love.

I think they are important if you go to a job interview. But im not hiring them. So im my book everyone has a chance to be a friend or screw me over. But always remember first meetings with new people are nervous. So i never take the first time as is.
